Anyone who has MS is very welcome to come along to our regular monthly meetings (very informal) and to bring friends, family or partners.  We have coffee or tea and biscuits, chat and arrange social gatherings. The meetings are very friendly and held in a fully accessible hall. These socials are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10.30 AM Marlboro House in Warrior Square.  Next meeting is Tuesday 14th September, 2010.

From the new year we have been meeting at Marlboro House in Warrior Square.  The entrance faces the green, not the pharmacy entrance. A buzzer system lets you into the building. The start time for the meeting is the same. The facilities here are fabulous, very friendly atmosphere. There is also a very reasonable priced restaurant, open every day between 12:30 till 2pm.  The cost is £5-00 month for the rental of a large room instead of £25-00 which we paid for our old hall.

This is a good way to make friends and to chat to other people who understand what it is like to have MS--but we don’t sit there whinging and moaning: the idea is to make these gatherings POSITIVE.  We also arrange social gatherings for other times and places--such as pub lunches, bowling, shopping, etc. We always welcome new ideas and suggestions.  If you would like more info, please get in touch with Hilary Deadman, phone 01424 436517, or email hilstep2000@hotmail.com
